Filmmaker Matthew Vaughn, who started off his career well with Layer Cake and is about to take a step off into the deep end with Stardust, is in talks to direct an adaptation of the Marvel comic character Thor. Last year Avi Arad announced that a Thor movie was in the works, saying “we're in the scripting stage right now."

Marvel's President of Production, Kevin Feige, said that after The Incredible Hulk the next Marvel film will be Captain America! Feige said that they don't have a director yet but that David Self is writing the script and they're hoping to get it into the pipeline within the next year.

Submariner is also in the script phase.
