Fellers,
On the 11 +/- acres my sister and I have in Wilson County, we'd like to put a 9 hole disc golf course.
The land slopes slightly uphill from the road and is filled with old logging roads that could easily double as fairways.
If you want to see an aerial view of the property, search on any of the mappy-sites for the intersection of North Milton Road and South McKee Road (probably N. Milton and S. McKee) in Milton, TN. The land starts where you see the intersection (S. McKee and N. Milton) and runs into that wedged-shaped, rectangular piece of field and the woods that is a wider rectangle to the west of it.
You'll know you have it when you see North Milton Road take that sharp left turn as you go north.
We're trying to plan a field trip out there to walk the terrain and get a feel for where we can put baskets.
See photos for some idea of what we're working with. The land looks a lot like the "Little Texas" hole at Seven Oaks, with some prickly pear and exposed rock faces, especially in the woods.
Any ideas or hints would be, as Col. Potter would say, "mucho apreciado".

Maybe you should print up some maps off Google Earth. Depending on when the photos were taken, you may be able to get a good sense for the trees and foliage. Then when you survey the land physically you can make notes on topography. Those two things added to distance are what makes for a good course. What do the cages cost? Look forward to our next throw.
Cages? We don't need no stink...oh, wait. We do.
We're having them made by a local blacksmith--ok, he's really a WHITE Smith, but after Obama and all...
OR, if you prefer, TTF, you can BUY NAMING RIGHTS to a hole by purchasing a high-priced, 24-chain basket.
BTW, we are throwing weekly now that Uncle Chuckles is in town!
