Cthulhu Movie

An adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's The Shadow Over Innsmouth is underway in a distant corner of the country and Stuart Gordon's got nothing to do with it. But it does star Beveryly Hill 90210 Tori Spelling! The pic is called Cthulhu, an Innsmouth adaptation penned by writers Grant Cogswell and Dan Gildark. The latter is also directing the flick which is coming in at a $450,000 production. Shooting began in September. How they got the Spelling, I'm not certain but according to Tacoma's News Tribune the actress will be playing a "seductress." So will she sprout tentacles and give anime tentacle sex a run for its money, I'm also not so sure. Cthulhu stars Jason Cottle as a gay college professor who returns to his hometown in Oregon where a Cthulhu cult resides.Gildark expects to have the film ready for theaters in 2006. Jeffrey Brown and Anne Rosellini are producing. I'm guessing this is a local film production that managed to nab enough cash to swing a Hollywood name into their film. Good for them, now let's see the monster!
