This is freaking awesome. Below is a transcript from a chat I just had with Chub affiliate Michael Galkovsky. What you read may save your life one day...or at least save you 30 seconds in a pinch.
Michael: whenever you get into an elevator
Michael: that has "close doors" button
Michael: if you press that button together with the desired flooor
Michael: most elevators take that as an override code and will not stop at any other floors
Michael: so if you are at busy hotel and you need to get down to the lobby right away, use this advice
Michael: i read about this a few days ago and did not think it would be true
Michael: but i tried it today on 3 elevators on our campus and alas, works like a charm

Michael: should see amazement on this one dude's face
Michael: when i clicked 10 + close doors
jeremy_paymaxx: that is valuable knowledge...the kind people kill for
Michael: and he started to press his 6 floor button
Michael: and it would not even register
jeremy_paymaxx: no way!
Michael: and i said, sorry man, going to 10
jeremy_paymaxx: ha
Michael: he would not stop thanking me after I told him later
Michael: cause that building gets especially busy
Michael: i've been in elevators where it stopped on every floor 1-10
Michael: not anymore
Michael: express elevator when i get in
