Great to have back-up singers, ain't it?
Anyway, here's a by-no-means-complete-or-lucid list:
1.)The Super(ficial) Friends
2.)The Religious Minute (always mispronounced as 'my-noot' in the intro)
3.)Pet Loss Support Group
4.)Movies You Won't See on Sundance
5.)The Swap 'n' Shop Show
6.)Board Games We'd Like To See
7.)The Outfield (A Fan's Update of the GREATEST Band of All Time)
8.)Stickel-AnOral Documentary

Let me also say that my vision (the 'vision-thing') is heavily indebted to Harry Shearer's "Le Show". You guys have the musical talent that we can add some variety numbers at odd moments, ala Shearer.
Most of these are recurring minishows within the Show--rapid fire, 30 seconds is way too long almost. Radio/audio geared to those of Short Attention Span (remember SAS Theater on the original Comedy Channel?). I picture people (hopefully) laughing at stuff that happened two or three segments before when they get hit with the next one, and so on, etc.
Also, keep this in mind: The creative team at Looney Toons worked to make each OTHER laugh--they figured that if it was funny to them, screw everyone else. Let's approach this in the same vein (or vain).
I.Thoughts on Pet Loss Support Group:
1.A 'sponsor' gets a call from a grieving member and helps him through the loss of his goldfish ("Put a frozen fish stick in the bowl"?)
2.Ads for the group could run as Public Service Announcements or could sponsor segments.
3.We need a 'tag line' like "They Die-We Cry" or some such.
II.We will need 2 'fans' of The Outfield to keep track of the whereabouts of the band to date and 'chart' all known album sales (1 to 2 per week).
III.The Swap 'n' Shop Show is on a small-town radio station. Women call in to sell stuff and their husbands call in from the barber shop to take it off the market; a farmer has a tractor for sale that is still running...and won't shut off. "It's your'n if you can ketch it."; Kids prank call often.
IV.Commercials, lots of commercials (the board games could fit in here, ditto the movies not on Sundance)
V.I have (somewhere) RNG's original script for the Young Leonardo (it's an interview with a museum curator) and RNG's permission to use it.
VI.C'mon, guys! Mark and Mark in the Morning on AirAmerica does this type of schtick daily; we can, too (I'm a big Lawton Smalls fan)!
AND we need A Capella versions of Rock songs, ala "Hurts So Good" in 4 part harmony (just snippets of them).
